An exercise on concept and branding.
Each year, the Apparel Design seniors at the University of Minnesota produce a Senior Showcase to present their work, and each year, they partner with the graphic design class, Text and Image, to conceptualize and brand the show.
I was given a brief on the concepts and parameters the Apparel Design seniors had imagined. Besides general information about the show (date, time, location), keywords used to describe the vision were layering and movement, text aesthetic, and fluidity, with a soft, yet deep color palette of blues, pinks, and yellows. Additionally, the concepts needed to maintain cohesion across a lookbook, posters, social media posts, and a post card.
